About the artist
Ramon Orlina (b. 27 January 1944) is a renowned Filipino sculptor celebrated for pioneering the use of carved glass as a sculptural medium in the Philippines. Originally trained as an architect, Orlina developed a distinctive practice transforming thick blocks of glass into luminous, abstract forms that explore light, movement, and transparency. His works have been exhibited internationally and have established him as one of the Philippines' most recognized contemporary sculptors.
